Just now Michael Morhaime (13:17PST) “announced” the Starcraft II Beta coming in this month!
Starcraft II beta testing ready to launch this month
The waiting is finally over. You can see it in this part of the conference (point •2-2). This means that we could expect the beta in a few days.
“We are slated to begin closed beta testing this month,” he said, explaining that the multiplayer test will be available to participants across various countries like North America,Taiwan,Europe and others.

i dont care what anyone says, starcraft is the best game in the world, hands down.

Any ideas on the graphics card requirements? Will they send you the beta in your email? or Will there be a timeframe for people to go and download from the starcraft official website?

From the previous post, it seems like its gona be an open beta, so everyone will be able to test it without subscribing anywhere =D

Don’t missinterpretate this. It COULD be an open beta.
You can become beta tester if you apply yourself in the Beta Opt-In.
The graphics card requirements are about : 128 MB GeForce/Radeon

i am 07optimusprime im sorry i made so many errorrs trying to get regesterd but i am one of the bigest fan of star craft of 1- 2 and star caft 2 i have been looking for a wa y to finnally play i ask you to forgive me and give me a secound chancei have been waiting since 1998 when they first mention the game i have been dis appointed so many times i have truely waited a long time for this moment to play again im sorry after 6 strokes aand 2 haert attacts im beginning i just hope i lve long enought to play i would full fill all the time i have left to play and be happy im 45 sorry my memmory is not the best in the world dont do for pitty but because of the passion i have for this long a waited chance thank you all tha t is written is true i was born july 8 1964 web page kept locking sorry

Do you have to have an account on this site before you can get the beta key ? I tried to make an account 2 times (with my two different e-mail), and both of the times it failed ! :S It says I used my e-mail, but I still can’t log in .. And the password isn’t sent to my e-mail even after doing the “Forgot my password”-thing :-/ Can you please help me out ? ^^

hey i made an account in blizzard but it says that i need a cd-key from on of blizzards games to access or sth like that if i helped any1 im glad.
Well, the solution is simple =) You cant subscribe for beta testing unless you buy some game from blizzard.
Zeratula, you have to have a game from Blizzard … If you have any game from Blizzard, just enter the cd-key in the “Add game”-thing. If you don’t have a game and really want to play the SC2 beta, you can either burrow a game from your friend (or a guy online, like me) or go buy an old hame like SC1.
