So I was in random 2v2 the other day on twilight fortress and me and my partner both got armies up to go attack. He went first then told me to hurry along cuz i wasnt paying too much attention. He gets half way up the field and bam runs in to a MS and a cloaked group. THen BAM he gets vortexed i show up like 10 seconds later about to get steam rolled and then i way like wait...... So i emp'ed then Jumped into the vortex my self. 5-10 seconds later they roll just passed us and we get out, they meet our base defences adn get squashed from 2 sides. :)
Just thought id share this trick :)

What trick is that, to let your partner get owned by himself in a 2v2 since you have ADD and then to jump into a vortex and your opponents will just ignore you after that?

I thought this thread was going to be about vortexing with a well timed nuke from your partner : (

best way to use the vortex is to suck in half a person's army then waste the other half.
best way to counter a vortex when it sucks in half your army, is the have the other half jump in with it.

Jeeze, so quick to criticize. Sounds like an epic battle man, and he saved his army from getting killed by jumping in the Vortex himself! A very resourceful move. Yet you must have had someone pee in your cheerios this morning 'cause you've got bitter beer face! You just jealous you didn't think of that move yourself? Or are you always just THAT good to be following every move your partner makes when he's off screen?

So your opponents runs away thinking they killed you all off w/o thinking twice that it only just makes them incapacitated? GG for you, QQ for them.

Can you truly call this a move? or more coincidence seeing is, you both randomly went into the opposiong armys vortex... which you didnt tell them to create, and they stupidly went there way to your base ignoring your army... which to me is due to the fact most people think its a black hole, because most people ignore the mothership....
It was more or so luck it happened the way it did, awesome that it did, but its not "your move" that you created.

well,consider this.
1.He EMP'd them
2.With the full army,he may have been fully able to win
3.he had half
Even if the toss waited, for all we know he didn't even need his base defenses. His full army might've been enough once they came out of the vortex
This is still good tactics on his part, even if the mothership toss user dug himself an even deeper grave by ignoring them.

Actually if you see half your army getting into the Vortex, do you rather try to move the rest of your troops away from it and go halfsies on the enemy? Or do push all your troops in the Vortext intenionally so when they do get out, you still have a full army to fight with.

Yes especially when not fighting at a base.
