Invite-a-Friend PROtip

If you have yet to receive your invite-a-friend email from blizzard make sure you go into your battle.net account, and click on the option: "communication preferences" Then select the check-box to receive emails from blizzard. I did this 30 minutes ago, and just now received my invite-a-friend beta key at 12:47 AM MST.

Also, my friend did the exact same thing as I did, and he just received his invite-a-friend beta key email!

**NOTE: They invite-a-friend beta keys are not active yet, so don't worry about spamming your friend until tomorrow probably, relax, and perhaps do some thinking on just who you want to invite :)

The beta was different. You signed up for that, but this is special offers and promotions.

For the record, we're not sure checking that box sends the friend invite (Although I did it too beacuse hey, why risk it?)

Ya i got it through account during 3rd wave of invites. Now im worried that the people that didn't have the communication pref check box checked & are enabling it now are too late.

I got a code in my e-mail. I have heard from others that the invite was there at least several days prior to the e-mail, though.

They are probably emailing everyone that has an account, and that could be what.. 15-20k by now? Figuring all that stopped playing early on and so forth. That takes time. They may be sending emails well into tomorrow.

Of course this may be true, but what is the harm in clicking that little box? We don't for sure if it helps or doesn't help right? I'm simply passing on some information that I found highly coincidental, considering my friend and I both did it, and we both received our email not to long afterwords.

It's up to all of you whether or not you want to check the box, chances are that all of us in the Beta will get a chance to invite a friend.

i would assume that if this option was not enabled it simply be in your junk mail folder, if you have one...

My friend is going to kill himself when he hears about this and I didn't get one.
